Dhaam Dhoom

Being from the maker of Unnale unnale nd Ullam ketkume, Dhaam Dhoom had always been in de limelight right from the start of its shoot nd adding to dis was de music which had topped de charts long before. All these were enough for Dhaam dhoom to have a grand opening for de silver screens. But I was dumbfounded to see dat the movie didnt keep up to de expectation nor it tried to do so. The movie had a gud first 1 hr with Jayam Ravi(Goutham) flying to Moscow for a medical conference nd side by side explaining his love life. In moscow, Goutham gets trapped in a murder case in which he is no whr involved nd how he gets rid from it is explained in 1 hr 30 mins in quite a bit stylish way. However, the movie doesnt hav a depth in story. There was no proper reason for de murder, no explanation who did de murder nd how it was committed. The movie is said to be stylish just for de reason of shooting in Moscow, which not many tamil films hav handled. Wat I strongly believe is dat Jeeva had not let his story out to anyone, nd Anees Jeeva or PC Sriram who carried Jeeva's work after his sudden demise in russia were totally lost nd were not able to proceed nd finally ended movie in a bizzare way. They hav made Goutham to run, run nd just run to escape from being convicted.

The visualisation of songs have been gud, nd the camera work requires appreciation for showing a beautiful moscow. The dialogues in this movie were no strong nd we all know Jeeva tries to provide strong nd essenceful dialogues in his previous films. The stunt sequences were equally bad nd provokes me to lend a harsh comment of saying Dhaam Dhoom- a Kuruvi part 2. The rerecording nd BGM were lot similar to Vettiayadu Vilayadu nd Khaka Khaka. As Goutham keeps on running it doesnt mean dat de movie is a racy thriller, der was actually no proper destination whr he was running.

The movie's female lead is de bare back girl of gangster, Kangana Ranaut. She finds it very difficult to fit to de saree attire or de other village girl attires. I was very nervous nd thought dat de saree might slip off her at any time, but she managed to held it tight enough. Aazhiliye mukkuzhlikum song had few close smooch scenes in which kangana tried hard to act shy but failed, as Imran Hasmi had taken all her coyness out earlier in her career. So she is no more a shy girl nd shuld avoid donning village girl characters in her life, atleast south india village characters. Jayaram who is known for his immaculate acting skills was totally wasted nd had a very poor characterization. Donno why was Lakshmi rai in de movie, may be just to add spice to goutham's life in moscow. The russian model (anne) had done her job in a quite satisfying manner. Anu hassan, nizhalgal ravi, chetan nd few others make just minimal screen appearances.

Jayam Ravi shuld stick-on to remake telugu movies directed by his brother to mark success at the box office. Haaris Jayaraj is de only person satisfying his fans, actually he did it long before de movie hit de silver screens. Ppl who desire to watch de movie can just go for it to see de visualization of their favourite numbers in big screen nd for nothing else. The song Pudhu pudhu vazhli had a brilliant choreography, nd Anbhe en anbhe had mindblowing locations. But there is always many stuffs missing in the movie. In all, Dhaam Dhoom is just Duss Buss... ;)

Sathyam

Otha Fuck!!! These are the least worse words that I wuld use to start describing this movie. This is not yet another gud cop movie. The Industry has produced some utterly brilliant cop movies like Khaka khaka , vettaiyadu vilaiyadu, Saamy in the recent past nd few old cop movie with just a lack of technical oppulance. But Satyam had failed in both technical nd the core cop aspect. Satyam is more of a action movie rather than an investigative cop movie. It criticizes Khaka khaka nd Saamy on few occasions, which is not worth for the movie.

The movie starts with Vishal saving a criminal from being encountered by his colleagues. There on he starts speaking the dark sides of police encounters nd how its illegal to punish a criminal by the name of encounter. The film is based on the various political interventions nd support for the underworld dons of the city. A serial murders of politicians makes the police to investigate very seriously, but very soon arrive at the solution nd find the culprit. The film then has its flashback of wat inspired vishal to becum a cop. Latter, as a challenge vishal tries to bring the wrong done by few criminals nd politicians to de limelight of the law. nd how he does dat is been filmed in a very inane, boredom manner.

Its evident dat Vishal has undertaken pain in building his body in perfect shape nd his 6 pack muscles, but dat doesnt really mean he shuld tear open his shirt every alternate scene. That makes one irritated, nd adding to dis is de non stop fight sequences right from the first scene. He slams down 20 guys, then 40-50 guys with each fight sequences lasting for not less than 15 mins.

The film includes nayanthara, the second person with a 6 pack abs. She is been one female in kollywood with a very bad look des days, but still bags few films. Anyways its just for de sake of fews songs nd hope she is competing with the item girls in de industry. Upendra is de only character which deserves some recognition in de movie. It wuld hav been long since v saw Sudha chandran on kollywood screen but no much feel created by her. All other actors just cum nd go with no satisfactory display. Anyway, de film just shows vishal every frame. In all Satyam was a movie especially to showcase the well built body of vishal nd nothin else.

Dont waste ur bucks for dis bloody shit of a movie.

Kuselan...

Being a die hard ardent fan of the Super Star Rajini Kanth from childhood, every film of his had fascinated me. I suppose dis is my first Rajini film to grab a ticket for a first day first show. Kuselan cannot be described as yet another Thalaivar film, rather its yet another subtle film which has featured Rajini Kanth. This is a different Rajini film nd the difference had been incurred right from the title display, whr the visual digital effect of "SUPER STAR RAJINI" takes all together a new elegant, youth look after a long time.

The film features pasupathy in the lead along with Rajini who plays himself with a diff name in the movie. Pasupathy, a old school friend of Rajini runs a profitless saloon in his village. The first few mins of the movie describes abt the difficulties faced by pasupathy in his life coz of his poverty nd thus de disrespect from others. Rajini is introduced after the first 20 mins. He comes to pasupathy's village for a film shooting. Pasupathy's life takes a considerable alchemic after dat. Rajini doesnt know abt pasupathy's existence in the village till de very end of de film. But pasupathy gains respect from his neighbourhood nd with de other villagers with a hunch dat he may use up his reputation with his old friend. But Pasupathy very hardly tries to regain any relationship with Rajini, nevertheless few of his tries were in vain very badly. Whether Rajini recognizes Pasupathy or not nd how is kept to the climax.


P.Vasu has made Rajini fans to yearn for seeing thalaivar on screen. The crew includes meena as pasupathy's wife, vadivelu, sandhanam, livingston, santhana bharathi, mamta mohandas, prabhu, nayanthara in gud roles with considerable performance. I suppose, Nayanthara is aiming for a six pack along side with Surya nd Vishal with a misconception that she is looking hot. But the fact is dat she eventually looks beastly, ominous, wretched nd totally ugly with her new looks. Vadivel has once again tried his level best to deliver humour, but he has just managed to scatter a lot of shit.

Do u remember the last time when a Rajini film featuring songs with out him?? or a film without any fight sequence for rajini?? Kuselan is one such movie. We hav seen Rajini fight, we hav seen him do comedy, we hav seen him do style, we hav seen him deliver punch dialogues, but hav you ever seen thalaivar do some typical sentiment scenes or cry on screen or make the audience cry, One can feel nd see all this happen in kuselan. The film humbly tells dat not everyone forget abt their past relationships after attaining stardom. In all, this is a friendship week bonanza from the kuselan team, ESPECIALLY FOR THALAIVAR FANS- make a mark of these words from me...

Bottom line: Rajini deploys a new phrase "Maatha, pitha, guru, nanban, deivam"...
